Open Field, Cornell's annual literary magazine, invites submissions of poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and artwork from all Cornell College students. Each spring the journal debuts at the Department of English and Creative Writing's annual awards night.

Prose submissions should be double-spaced and must not exceed 3500 words. You may submit up to three pieces in separate documents. All creative writing submissions will be considered for awards in the Department of English.

All work must be anonymous: please remove your name and any identifying information from the pages before you submit. Please use the title of your submission as the file name. Do not use your own name in the file name. If your name is on your work, it will not be considered.

Work must not have been previously published (e.g., not previously published in BOOM or the Cornellian).

We are looking for art of all types, including but not limited to photography, comics, digital art, mixed media, and scans of drawings.

Art submissions should be high resolution (at LEAST 300 dpi at 5" x 7"), and must be formatted as .PNG files. If you need help documenting your artwork, contact Zuri Montgomery at zmontgomery21@cornellcollege.edu.
